Lets Talk Rubbish.....bins!!!

The size and placement of your bin is important in your job and may be one you have not considered. So we have put together a collection of our more popular sizes and configurations for you to see so that you can choose the right one for you.

Bin sizes are mainly in the 32 litre, 20 litre and 10 litre and we can see the difference in the buckets both wide and deep below, this does mean they need different sized cabinetry to be installed in your job.

Two x 10 litre bins

This bin requires a 300mm wide space to be installed and can have a drawer above or below depending on what the client would like.

Two x 20 litre bins

This configuration needs a 450mm wide space and allows for a drawer either above or below.

Two x 32 litre bins

This bin requires a 450mm wide space in your kitchen the same as the above 2 x 20ltr however the bin buckets are deeper and so there is no drawer above or bellow.

Two x 10 litre and Two x 32 litre (or two x 20 ltr) bins

This larger bin configuration requires 600mm wide space in your kitchen and has 4 bins in total in it. The image below shows us 2 x 10ltr & 2 x 32ltr, however the 2 x 32ltr bins could be swapped for 2 x 20ltr bins which as above examples, would then mean there would be space for a drawer above or below. This would still take up 600mm wide space though.

Servo Drive - Automatic open

Some of the bin configurations can have a servo drive motor attached to them, this device means that the bin will then open automatically with a slight push with your hand or hip etc.

Twin Bins

If you do not have the space to install your bin in its own separate cabinetry, there is also the option of a twin bin under your sink. The main difference with a twin bin is that it needs 2 steps to open it as opposed to the cabinetry above that is 1 step. You need to open the cupboard and then open the bin drawer. It also means the sink & sink cupboard will need to be chosen to allow for the space for the twin bin so the sink waste will need to be considered. Also the cupboard door of the side the bin is on needs to be a minimum of 400mm wide. The twin bins come in 2 x 16 litre (grey example below) or 2 x 20 litre buckets (white example below).
